Ecole Institution Classique
de Boyer, Bwaye, St. Jean du Sud, Haiti (October 2002)
In a rural school that services approximately 50 students, ranging in age
from 10 to 15 years old, a Peace Corps Volunteer, working in collaboration
with Enersol Associates, Rotary International and a local development
group, installed 7 laptop computers and a printer, together with the solar
system to run them. Basic
computer skills' training was provided to teachers and students
participated in a 10-week course, based on successful approaches used in
other Haitian facilities.
